God Almighty has done countless miracles! He created billions of stars and knows them by name. He fashioned the occean, mighty mountains, the sun, the entire universe. He created humankind. He has and still does miracle after miracle. All we really have to do is truly open our eyes and look around. I mean, just watch a bird in flight! Beautiful and incredible.
Though His greatness is beyond measure and is displayed in all He has made, perhaps the greatest miracle and blessing of all is that, God, The Alpha and Omega, wants to have a relationship with us, individually. He calls to His people to come talk with Him, to seek His face. He so lovingly calls us, His children, to closeness with Himself. Ponder that! He calls us to draw near. James 4:8 puts it this way, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.”
How do we respond to His kind call? How are we to answer His request, “Come and talk with me”? May our humble, grateful response be like David’s long ago: ”Lord, I am coming.”
God wants a relationship with us, with YOU. God wants us to talk with Him, everyday. We have direct access to Him, thanks to Jesus (Hebrews 4:14-16). So, let’s come to Him boldly and often, possible only by His grace. The LORD calls us near. What a marvelous miracle! How will YOU respond today?
